General Maintenance

Because our rugs must meet strict criteria by using certified materials and special manufacturing techniques, you can be assured that we have some of the easiest to clean rugs that money can buy!

All our upgraded polypropylene rugs are tough at resisting stains, and the pile can usually be spot cleaned by hand with warm water and dish washing liquid.
Should you require a general all over clean, a mild professional clean will easily remove built up dirt without much hassle- no need for harsh chemicals or boiling liquids.
A reasonable vacuum once a week should suffice- but no rotating brush heads, these are not designed for rugs of any kind and can cause premature wearing and damage. If you must, use the rotating brush head periodically, for an extra deep clean, but be careful with wool rugs, as the rotating brushes rip wool pile out easily.

Harsher stains can be diluted with a little white vinegar in the water, which will also dilute any odours, but be careful when using on dyed items as this can rub some of the dye off.

Never scrub the pile, only squeeze the water solution onto the stain, and press and blot until the stain is gone, trying to avoid wetting the back where possible.

Always dry the rug flat and completely dry without delay.

Should you have purchased any of our Premium Wool product, or any Wool mix product, ask us directly on how to clean, however if you have an emergency, always blot up the mess right away as it happens, then by diluting with a little room temperature water and blot with pressing motions each time.
Turn the top of the rug to face downward quickly to prevent the stain going further into the pile.
Do not ever rub the pile.
