Did you know all materials have high and low quality- like good quality cotton doesn’t fluff and fall apart and cheap cotton found in bulk stores changes after the very first wash! The same is for wool, jute, etc- there are many low quality options available based on price today but very few based on quality and ‘true’ value for money.

Also with some of the very cheap product on the market today, the origins are not always known, and undesirable labour conditions and materials are part of that process.

We inspect our manufacturer facilities and methods personally and deal directly with them so we know and can see exactly the business conduct we are supporting.

Unfortunately there are many businesses and manufacturers that copy the market leaders and produce inferior but similar looking products. These can be made of dangerous materials including flammable acrylics and rugs that are made with toxic and flammable glues to hold the pile in.
